Lower Dolpo trekking

The Lower Dolpo is a unique experience in the less developed region of Nepal. It is authentic Nepal, far from tourists ! The culture of the Lower Dolpo region is essentially Tibetan. This region is surrounded by mountains and is an extension of the Tibetan Plateau.
The Lower Dolpo area, it is emotion. This is a fantastic adventure that will stay in your memories, meetings, people, villages, valleys and pine forests. This trek in Lower Dolpo leads through several mountain ranges and passes to Numala Pass at 5 400 meters to the village of Ringmo. We will go together to Lake Phoksundo with its turquoise color which is in the heart of Phoksundo National Park.
You will be able to admire the beauties of this region with the surrounding snowy peaks of Kanjibro Himal.

Itinerary :

  • Day 1 : Transfer from the airport to the hotel 4 stars with welcome dinner
  • Day 2 : Kathmandu sightseeing tour during 5 hours. Prepare day 3
  • Day 3 : From Kathmandu flight to Nepalgunj
  • Day 4 : Nepalgunj, hike during 2 hours to Kalaguada (2 100m) then Juphal by plane
  • Day 5 : Trek from Kalagauda to Kageeni (2 520m) – 6 to 7 hours
  • Day 6 : Kageeni to Chunuwar (3 130m) – 7 hours
  • Day 7 : Trek from chunuwar to Shey with Phoksunda lake (3 600m) – 7 hours
  • Day 8 : Shey- Phoksunda all the day with hikes to discover Phuksonda lake et the environment surrounding this place.
  • Day 9 : Trek from Shey – Phoksunda yo Yak Kharka (3 860m) – 6 to 7 hours
  • Day 10 : De Yak Kharka à Temche bagala pass (5 169m) puis jusqu’à Gambo (4 250m) – 9 to 10 hours leaving early in the morning
  • Day 11 : Trek from Gambo to Tokyu (4 240m) – 8 hours
  • Day 12 : Tokyu to Dhotara (3 944m) – 2 hours – We will spend the day in villages
  • Day 13 : Trek from Dhotara to Langa camp (3 870m) – 7 hours
  • Day 14 : Langa Camp to Ghyamgar (3 755m) – 7 hours
  • Day 15 : Trek from Ghyamgar to Chhyogar (3 440m) – 7 hours
  • Day 16 : Trek from Chhyogar to Tarakot (2 540m) – 7 hours
  • Day 17 : Tarakot to Dunei (2 140m) – 9 hours
  • Day 18 : Trek from Dunei to Juphal (2 475m) – 5 hours
  • Day 19 : From Juphal, we will fly to Nepalgunj (35 minutes flight)
  • Day 20 : From Nepaljung return to Kathmandu by plane (30 minutes flight) – Farewell dinner
  • Day 21 : Transfer from the hotel to the airport
