Chandragiri Hill, seven kilometers from Thankot, lies southwest of the Kathmandu Valley at 2,540 meters. Flamboyant peaks and breathtaking views of the entire Kathmandu Valley covered with lush vegetation cover make Chandragiri a truly generous and pristine landscape.
The panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayas range from Annapurna to Everest, giving the impression of seeing all of Nepal from this hill.
By car from the hotel or airport of Kathmandu, we will go to the cable car station for Chandragiri hill.
You can enjoy the view, eat in a good restaurant, visit the temple of Lord Shiva next door – a temple of Bhaleshower Mahadev, also known as Ichheshwor Mahadev -. King Shah began to attack in the Kathmandu Valley praying to be blessed by the god Bhaleshwor who is one of the avatars of the god Shiva.
The distance between Kathmandu and Thankot is 16 kilometers. It takes approximately 30 minutes to get there. The length of the cable car is about two and a half kilometers from Godam near Thankot.
After that, we will take the cable car and we will return to Kathmandu. The total time for Chandragiri hill is about 4 hours. This program is accompanied by the visit of Kathmandu which is scheduled for 5 hours of visit.
