Tsum Valley et Manaslu – Trek 26 days
Big trek to discover Tibetan culture with a variety of landscapes. This trek is one of the famous Manaslu Tsum Valley and the most popular for Tibetan culture with a flora and fauna. For example, it is forbidden to fish in this area to preserve the wealth of wildlife. On the other hand, there are many different castes such as Gurung, Tamang, Lama, Sherpa, etc … It’s why this trek is attrativ and also the meeting of these ethnic groups with well-established cultures and traditions. This trek is at the edge of Tibet. This course is open since 2008 only.
Itinerary :
- Day 1 : Transfer from the airport to the hotel with a welcome dinner
- Day 2 : kathmandu sightseeing in car with city guide
- Day 3 : Departure from Kathmandu to Aarughat (608 m) – 7 hours by bus
- Day 4 : Aarughat to Sotikhola (700 m) – 6 hours
- Day 5 : Sotikhola to Machhakhola (869 m) – 5 hours
- Day 6 : Machhakhola to Jagat (1 340 m) – 7 hours
- Day 7 : Jagat to Philim (1 570 m) – 6 hours
- Day 8 : Philim to Chumling (2 386 m) – Tsum Valley – 8 hours
- Day 9 : Chumling to Chhokang Paro (3 031 m) – Tsum Valley – 6 hours
- Day 10 : Chhokang Paro to Mu Gompa (3 700 m) – Tsum Valley – 7 hours
- Day 11 : Mu Gompa à Lar (3 245 m) – Tsum Valley – 4 hours
- Day 12 : Lar to Chumling (2 386 m) – Tsum Valley – 9 hours
- Day 13 : Chumling to Pewa (2 000 m) – Last day in Tsum Valley – Start to trek Manaslu – 6 hours
- Day 14 : Pewa to Ghap (2 500 m) – 6 hours
- Day 15 : Ghap to Lho (3 180 m) – 6 hours
- Day 16 : Lho to Sama (3 520 m) – 4 hours
- Day 17 : Sama to Samdo (3 800 m) – 3 hours
- Day 18 : We stay at Samdo (acclimatation)
- Day 19 : Samdo to Dharmasala (4 460 m) – 3 hours
- Day 20 : Dharmasala to Bhimtang (3 750 m) by Larkya pass (5 160 m) – 9 hours
- Day 21 : Bhimtang to Dharapani (1 860 m) – 8 hours
- Day 22 : Dharapani to Chamje (1 430 m) – 5 hours
- Day 23 : Chamji to Bhulbhule (840 m) – 4 hours
- Day 24 : Bhulbhule to Besisahar – 4 hours
- Day 25 : Go back to Kathmandu
- Day 26 : Farewell dinner and transfer to the airport from the hotel
